oneloveyoga: Yoga Classes with Janet in Cambridge
Recently, Janet and I had a 1-2-1 session in her garden sanctuary which was an eye-opener as to what my abilities are and how phenomenally far yoga practice can take you when it comes to physical and emotional strength and balance. I whole-heartedly recommend Janet's group classes and 1-2-1 private sessions.
I started Janet's classes three years ago after a long sabbatical from formal classes. I re-started for a number of reasons and I can honestly say that doing so has changed my life. No exaggeration: Janet is incredibly approachable, friendly, calm and kind; she makes everyone feel welcome and offers plenty of easier or more challenging options to poses, depending on the individual person's needs.
You can enter a class feeling stressed, tired and drained and leave, 90 minutes later, feeling relaxed, as though a weight has been lifted from your shoulders and letting you think more clearly. I went from my first class feeling nervous and tentative, to attending two classes a week with Janet and I now practise every day. All I regret is that it took me so long to start!

I've been attending Janet's Tuesday night yoga class for 17 months. I was very nervous about starting because I have dyspraxia which affects my co-ordination and balance. Happily, Janet didn't need an explanation of what dyspraxia is because she is a trained secondary school teacher and has experience of it.
That, coupled with Janet's friendly, welcoming manner, put me at my ease. She regularly explains to the class that yoga is a personal journey and that we are not competing with anyone else, and especially not with ourselves. I love going to Janet's classes and always leave them feeling positive about myself, phsyically and mentally. I can definitely recommend the classes to to anyone because yoga is for all ages and abilities.
